Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a registered company to apply?
No. We work with founders at the idea stage. Company registration is not required to apply — we can guide you through that process if you are accepted.
Does SVIF take equity from startups?
Terms vary by program. For the Incubation and Acceleration programs, a nominal equity agreement may apply. This is discussed transparently during the acceptance process. The Mentoring program is equity-free.
Can I apply to multiple programs?
Yes. Many startups begin with Mentoring and naturally progress to Incubation and then Acceleration. Our team will help you identify the right path when you apply.
How many startups are accepted per cohort?
We keep cohorts intentionally small — typically 6 to 10 startups — so each founder gets genuine attention, not just a desk and a badge.
Is the incubation facility based in Ahmedabad?
Yes. Our primary facility is in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Remote participation is available for select programs for founders based outside the city.
When is the next cohort intake?
We typically run 1–2 cohorts per year. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Submit your application and our team will be in touch regarding the next available intake date.
